Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
-Proverbs 3:3
(noun) 1. Unwanted sharers of my dessert.
...According to the Urban Dictionary :)
Seriously though, my family is like that little light of brightness that slithers through the clouds on a dreary day; a little light of happiness.
We're you're average family, but with old souls & good morals.
I believe God puts certain types of people in our families for different reasons, but He made sure that I was very well taken care of by my Mother. For that, I'm truly grateful.
My Mom, Barb, takes care of anyone and everyone. She's sweet, down-to-earth, loves the country and stands firm in her beliefs. Growing up, I was really sick and she would do whatever it took to make sure that I was comfortable or buy me the gajillion bags of chocolates after my surgeries (just because). Her heart just has so much love in it. She was always there for me when I lost all of my friends when I transferred schools. She always stood up for me when people of the community had bad things to say or didn't believe in my illnesses. She was there through all of my doctor appointments, treatments, and surgeries. She would sleep in those horrible, stiff hospital chairs while I slept in the comfy bed watching TV & eating Jell-O. My mom is that person that talks to EVERYBODY when we go somewhere. It's like she just instantly makes friends with complete strangers. Without my Mother, I wouldn't even be here. Without her, I wouldn't have been able to go anywhere with my life. She's the person that represents John 13: 34-35 very well:
"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
My sisters, Deana & Dana, are the goofiest, but most beautiful 14 year old girls. You can catch us laughing until we have tears streaming down our faces when we're all together. God blessed me with the three best friends that I could have ever asked Him for. The time I share with them are like treasures in my heart.
"For where your treasure is,
there will your heart be also."
Luke 12:34
No matter how much you fight, argue, get along or see one another, always say, "I love you." Family will always be family, no matter the circumstance. The love of a family is life's greatest blessing and, please, don't ever take that for granted. One second they're here and before you know it, they're walking through the pearly gates of Heaven.
"Like branches on a tree, we all grow in different directions yet our roots remain as one."
Thank you, God, for blessing me with much more than I deserve.
